Relaxing girls spa day Claire Hanks, Eastbourne Booked surprise spa day for my daughter's 21st. We enjoyed a high tea in the hotel. Looking forward to booking another spa day soon. They were flexible about changing previously agreed treatments.

The spa area is beautiful and very calming. It was easy to book and the details once booked were readily available. The pool area was very nice and clean as was the changing area, the treatments were great too.

The afternoon tea was delicious and beautifully displayed and they catered excellently for dietary requirements for my Mum gluten free and me vegetarian. We were able to use all facilities including gym, the large pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room. We arrived in time for our treatments facial for my daughter and back massage for me which were wonderfully relaxing.

The pool area was busier in the morning as there had been a class but we managed to get seats and found a couple of loungers for the afternoon. Afternoon tea can be taken either in the foyer if you don't want to change although it is worth dressing to take it in the hotel.

There you can enjoy the views from the restaurant and have a nose at the celebrity photos on display. I was really impressed and feel I got great value for this package. I'd definitely come here again. We were impressed with the pool area, very spacious and clean. I was also impressed with the free tea and coffee machine in reception, very welcome.

Our treatments were lovely and then the afternoon tea was beautifully served and very fresh, a real treat. Shame about the timings as we then didn't feel like changing for another swim.

If you like your hotels to be located amid a glorious rural setting, this venue will prove to be a major inspiration. The hotel is home to two superb golf courses as well as a first-class health and fitness facility.

  1. The changing area is pretty dark and I used a cubical today for which the lock on the door was broken and it is very dark in the cubical because the lighting is so dim.
